Ashlyn turns THREE!!!

Our sweet caboose turned the BIG 3 last Monday!  She is growing beautifully and too fast. :)   Our dear neighbor was so excited when he brought her down her birthday cake, flowers, card and gift.  He LOVES giving things to our children.

Ashlyn was beyond excited when we started singing to her - she was clapping and smiling and saying, "Happy Birthday to ME!"
A birthday isn't complete until a finger goes into the cake - then of course, licking the icing off the candle.

Holding THREE fingers up is a hard thing to learn!

She loved every card and gift she got...she was one happy "Fwee" year old!
We love you, Sweet Baby!!!

Leaving 32 in Style....

Today is the last day my sweet hubs will be 32 years old.  So to celebrate, he went out in the woods and shot this beauty.

I'm so happy for you, Keith!!  SO very handsome...oh the buck is nice, too. ;)

What a nice early birthday present. :)

A full, FUN week!

Last week was a delightful week, packed with fun and lots of love and smiles.

To start it off, Grandma and Papa came for a visit - always a treat - and brought along two cousins - double treat!  We all had gobs of fun - Thank you for coming, Momma and Pops!!! Come again soon!

Then we went to Misty's for the weekend and got to go on a field trip with their homeschool group.  The kids loved it!!

Our Megan Joy turned 6 on Thursday and Mr. Carl ordered her 6 roses and a balloon to be delivered.

He also brought her a cake (which we took to Misty's to celebrate with the cousins) and of course it was a rainbow cake because Megan's favorite color is rainbow - LOL!!!!

Misty, my mom and I got a real treat and went to a ladies conference while the daddys watched over the kids.  Pictures of that coming very soon. :)

What a great week we had....one that won't soon be forgotten.   How was your week?

Reflecting...

This evening after our snack, we gathered around the computer and looked at old blog posts.  We love doing that - time passes so quickly and we love to look back at the funny times I've put on here.

We went back a few years and I came across this post and it blessed my heart all over again and was just what I needed to remember this evening.   So I'm posting it again and maybe it will bless your heart, too. :)

Hope your week is filled with His presence!

Lilla Rose SALE!!

I know I don't put a lot on here about my Lilla Rose business, but I couldn't pass up sharing this great sale!   It's a great way to get some Christmas shopping done. :)

Every day, I try to put a post on my Facebook Business page and if I knew enough about FB I'd just post a link here, but since I don't, I'll just tell you to go to FB and in the search bar type in "Independent Consultant Crystal Schaper"  That should get you to my page.  You cannot buy things there, but I put a lot of hair ideas, etc on there. :)

Now to go shopping.... here is the link to my webpage:     www.lillarose.biz/CrystalSchaper

If you have any questions, or if you have a product and are having problems figuring it out, please ask!  They are really a great product and a life saver for me and I want you to be enjoying it as much as I do mine. :)

Happy Shopping!!!

Exciting Times!

The other evening we went out to clear the deer stand area for our mighty hunters to use during the season.  We have a few of them around here. :)

After we had the area and all the lanes cleared it was turning dark and I took a picture of Owen and Megan, not knowing how perfect the lighting (or lack of lighting) was!  Immediately I burst out - "FAMILY PICTURE TIME" to which I'm sure most of those involved inwardly groaned!

But that's okay - everyone knows that Momma Bear likes her pictures, so the better you smile the sooner we'll be done. :D

So I grab the chain saw case and set the camera up on it.  Keith gathers the kids and lines them up, then comes to figure out the timer on the camera.  All set...?   Yep, even the bug was ready. :D

Say "Cheese"....oh wait, it's dark, "Never mind".....

Okay, just look normal....

Then dad says, "Wait, let's jump."   Uhhhhh, jump?

Okay - sure!

I don't think Ashlyn got the memo....

Nope, she didn't!

That's okay, Owen jumped twice, so we'll count one of his jumps for her....

All safely landed!

Whew!  That was an exciting 20 seconds of my life.  :D  So what exciting thing is happening in YOUR life?  We love to hear from our readers. ;)

Peep! Peep!

Guess what we heard last weekend?  Misty and her kids and my mom was here, so it was a very exciting time and the kids were thrilled to get to see the chicks hatch.

What an amazing God we serve that created these beautiful chicks and still cares about all the little details of our life.

What a weekend....

Some friends called us and said they were done canning tomatoes, but there were still a lot left to be picked, so we could have them if we wanted to pick them.  So off we go to pick tomatoes.

We made a donation to the school and used their huge stoves and had about six burners going at all times. :)  We got the whole family involved.

After 14 hours of canning - 7 hours one day and 7 hours the next

Grand total = 71 quarts!

I'm smelling a lot of Chili, Spaghetti, Lasagna, Veggie Soup etc.......in the next year!

Then we had a family baseball game.  Miss Ashlyn decided it was not a priority in her game to wear her skirt, but it was to wear a bonnet.  What do kids THINK?  That was short lived, but I couldn't resist this picture of her batting the ball on Keith's glove - and look at Keith's face......

*Note: No members of the family were injured during this activity*

Also, we have a little hen that has decided to sit on her eggs.  We are very excited about that. :)

Thanks for stopping by.  We LOVE hearing from you. :)
