Elise...

It was so nice to have Elise here for a very short visit.   We love it when she comes home!

Owen especially was thrilled to have her home because for some reason he has her tightly tied around his little finger and can seem to get her to do anything he wants. :)

These have nothing to do with Elise.  I just thought they were pretty. :)

We love you, Elise, and are SO proud of you!!!

The other day we were in a store and the clerk made a comment about how nice our children were and Kristyn said,  "Oh, I have an older sister, but she's 20 and she's in college."  She gave us some pretty "WOW"  looks...I didn't even try to explain. :)

Fun with Family...

We had so much fun last weekend when Kyle and Mandy came to visit.  We went out to Michaels farm for the day and enjoyed the sunshine.

Catching Crawdads was definitely a favorite of the day.

And playing in the sand.

And "fishing" with a huge rope. :)

Bringing Down the Barn....

 

This dear, old barn was in the process of coming down a few weeks ago, when Keith's uncle had an accident and fell from the top of a grain bin.  That adventure took him on a helicopter ride to a trauma center straight from his corn field and ended in surgery on both wrists and a few days in the hospital.  Praise the Lord, he is doing well now.

 

 So anyway, the barn still needed to come down, so some of the men got together and had a work day and took it down.

Not this little man....he was happy to sit and watch.

 

And the walls came a tumblin' down

 

We made a LOT of chili!

 

 Nothing better than warm Chili on a chili day. :)

 

 It took two tractors to pull this tree stump out of the ground.  They hauled it all the way to the creek.

 

 

Uncle Michael even braved it and came out for a few minutes.

 

 We thank the Lord for His protection!
