So much to be THANKFUL for!

We were blessed this Thanksgiving with having some of our family with us. Kyle and Mandy came up for the week!  We had a WONDERFUL time together!!!!!

One day we visited Uncle Micheal's farm - always a treat!!!

None of them wanted to be pig farmers when they grew up.....

Little Miss enjoyed her ride!
 Best Buddies!

We went shopping one day and bought the girls little glasses from the dollar store - they were a big hit all week!

 Found a beaver dam.....

 Explored a cave......

Found a little critter.........

Ran out some energy.......

More exploring......
In general, had a grand time!

Saturday Jeremy and Trelanie came over with their family and we had a tea party for the kids.  We made cupcakes and let them decorate them with icing.   Yes, even Keith helped with the icing!!!!! :D  Kyle played it safe and took pictures. HA!!

Little Man sneaking some icing.

Way cool!!!

Ashlyn turned ONE, Daddy turned THIRTY-ONE and a few extras.....

The last couple of weeks have been a whirl wind of  craziness fun-ness!

We've had birthdays, weddings, baking, baking, baking and more baking.  I figured up and last week, I decorated 21 cakes all together!  Whew!!!!!  I am VERY grateful for a husband that helps me and a God that gives me strength and help every time I need it!!!!!

This picture does not have anything to do to with cakes, wedding, or birthdays, but I thought it was hilarious!!
Don't you love the fashion statement?? :)

I was asked to make a wedding cake for a dear lady that was getting married in our church.  Now mind you, I do not claim any kind of cake making skill and the only ones I have done, except for a shower cake and a graduation cake, is our kids birthday cakes.  But I felt like I wanted to help her out, so I agreed to make it for her.  I am SO SO thankful for God's help!!!!!  My friend Heather came over Friday and gave me a helping hand, too.  Keith kept the kid out of icing and clothed and fed - thanks, Honey!!!! :)
Not the greatest lighting for the picture above....

Megan was the flower girl in the wedding!  She did a super job and I was SO proud of her!!!!  She was waiting to get her picture taken.

Ashlyn turned ONE!!!!!!  My how this last year has flown by!!!!  Keith turned Thirty-one two days later, so we had a double party! We were invited to have dinner with another family, so we just took our party with us. :)

Okay, I was really trying to make a cup cake, but somehow this turned out more like an icing hut! :/  Oh, well, she didn't care and it tasted just the same, I suppose. :)

Keith shot this nice doe this morning!!!  He brought home 40 pounds of meat for the freezer!!!!!! :)

Thanks for checking in on us.  I hope you have a BLESSED Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Megan Turns FOUR......

Megan turned FOUR years old last Monday the 7th.  It's so hard to believe!!!

We named her Megan Joy and she runs true to her name.  She brings so much JOY to her little world and those around her.

For her birthday, she wanted a blue angel cake.  So I tried to make her dreams come true.

It sure wasn't perfect and certainly not one of the best cakes that came out of our kitchen, but Megan loved it!!

I just made the angel a "shaw" :D Instead of trying to make some kind of clothes for her out of icing -  much easier that way!!!
 Happy four year old!!!

 Blow out the candles!!

We celebrated a couple of days early because Grandma and Papa were here.
Okay, now the real secret.   I just bought a couple of angel food cakes and stacked them and put the doll in the center and covered with the fondant.  We sliced up the angel food cake and had it with strawberries!

Perfect, easy and mighty tasty!!!!!!
We enjoyed Grandpa being here for a few days!!  THANK YOU, Grandpa, for coming.
Thanks, Grandma and Papa, for your visit.  We enjoyed you being here. :)
On her actual birthday, we took Megan to Dairy Queen for ice cream.  What a treat!  She opened her present from Grandma and Grandpa - and wore her princess crown the rest of the day. :)

A huge puzzle from Grandma and Grandpa.  Megan LOVES puzzles!  Thank you, Mom and Dad!!!
What a fun few days we had celebrating her birthday.  She woke up the day after her birthday and told me she didn't feel like she was four.  She still felt like she was three. :D  I don't exactly know what she was expecting.  (I'm usually happy when I wake up the day after my birthday and don't feel any different. ~ha)
