Water Fights and Such...

We have had extremely hot weather here this week, so we have been staying inside most of the time until the evening when it's cool.

This evening, we had a water fight. The kids loved it!!

Kristyn got Daddy good. She was so proud of herself!

Owen got dunked!

I love the expression of Owen's face. "Better watch out, Dad, here I come."

Our silly girl!
Don't let the smile fool you, he's got something up his sleeve, I'm sure. :)

Little Miss Megan!

Keith was putting up some shelves in a closet the other day and Owen was "helping" him. I couldn't resist taking some pictures. :)
Lest you think I stay up into the wee hours of the morning all the time, I really don't. :) Keith had to be gone and I can't sleep and then Megan decided to start running a temp. (102.4 last I checked), so I'm just hanging out here, rocking my baby (she's still my baby for a few more days) and listening to her sweet little sing-song thing that she does....... and uploading pictures. :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Promised Pictures...

I have NO idea why some of the font is big in this and why some of the pictures are weird colored....I've tried to fix it. :( Anyway, on to the post!

This blog is for our family. I promised to e-mail them pictures, but our computer is taking S-O-O long to e-mail, so I decided to just do a blog and they could all see them at the same time. :) The rest of you can enjoy the blog, too. ;)

First of all, I have never claimed to be one of those "perfect" pregnant women that you see in magazines. (Actually, I have seen very few of them in real life.)
Instead, I feel like one of those "walking hot-air-balloon" type of pregnant women.

Don't get me wrong!! I LOVE being pregnant and I have been very blessed with easy pregnancies, but instead of looking like this.....

I, unfortunately, go more for this look.....

Happy Pregnant Mother Standing with Her Daughter and Son
So please don't think I'm bragging on how I look in these pictures. :)

With all that being said.....Keith and I have always made it a priority to get some type of maternity pictures with each baby. I was afraid we might have waited a little too long and might not get pictures before this baby was born....but alas..... :)

Anyway, we got up before the crack of dawn the other morning and headed out to our favorite spot, the creek. It was a beautiful morning. The birds were chirping and the sun just coming up, so it wasn't miserable and hot, yet and the creek was just singing away. I told Keith it would be a perfect spot for a cabin. :)

I thought the pictures turned out nice. No, they're not perfect and some are rather funny, but I still think they're sweet.

I think this picture is so funny! I don't know what we were all talking about, but it looked serious. :)
Not the greatest, but one of the only good pictures of all of us.
Me and all my "glory"! (read disclaimer at beginning of post)

Anyone that knows me, knows that I have a few hundred more pictures I could put on here, but I'll stop with these. :)

Enjoy your weekend!!

Family Gatherin' #3...

For the last few weekends, we have been privileged to go to 3 different family get-togethers. Instead of making one GIANT post, I broke it down into 3. Of course, there are SO many pictures I could put on here, but I'll spare you the time. :)

The last family get-together we had was with Keith's family a couple weekends ago. We all got together for a few days and had a wonderful time!
The whole gang!
I think they were painting "coffee filter" flowers.

Kristyn and Rachel enjoying a ride.

Kristyn had her 5th birthday while we were all together. Grandma and Papa got her, her very own rose bush which she thought was wonderful!

Grandma made her an ice cream sandwich cake for her birthday. It was very tasty!!! Thank you, Grandma!

Family Gatherin' #2...

My dad's side of the family, got together for a small "reunion" and we had such a nice, relaxing time. Unfortunately, almost all the pictures I took were of the kids (big kids, too) in the pool. Needless to say, we all enjoyed swimming.
Some of the little kids enjoying the small pool.
Have you ever seen a 14 person hot tub? :) (for all those concerned, the temp was turned WAY down)

Jeremy and Cera. Can you tell she LOVES the water?
Kristyn and Gracie listening to the Bible story for devotions.
No, we are not twins, although we do get asked that a lot when we're together.....which isn't often enough. ;) It was very nice catching up with everyone.

Grandpa enjoying the water with his "grands".

Mr. Owen!

Tori enjoyed paddling around in this little boat.

Is she having fun, or what?
Thank you, Uncle Gary and Aunt Ruth, for the wonderful time.

Family Gatherin' #1...

While we were in Oklahoma a few weeks ago when my sister was there, we went and visited, "Little Prarie on the House" as my kids call it. Of course, they begged to live there forever so they could be just like Laura and Mary. Mommy on the other hand, was very happy for the air conditioner and running water that we went back home to.

We can't go anywhere (that is an outing) without Grandma taking along her tea set which is a HUGE treasure to the kids. She even got them little cup cakes to go along with the "tea". They had so much fun!
Kara waiting patiently for her tea. :)
Karissa getting ready to scarf down her cup cake!

Mass peanut butter and jelly making operation going on here!

Kathrine found a flower.

Sweet little Kara!

Wouldn't it be nice to have wonderful children like this that never fight and love each all the time?
(Ba-ha-ha-ha)

One of the girls said, "This is probably the window that Laura looked out to see the snow".

In the school house.

"Ma and Pa and baby Grace".

We also went to a litle kiddy park and the kids had a grand time!

Ready to take off on the roller coaster!

Kathrine enjoying her little car ride.

Megan was even brave enough (for a short time) to ride on one.....she's not the bravest tool in the shed. :)

All on the Merry-Go-Round!
Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa for the great time! We ALL enjoyed it!
