We still have a bit to learn because I think in silhouettes the image in front is supposed to be all black, but I don't think it was too bad for our first time around. Tell me what you think?

Silhouettes...
I was reading last week about taking silhouette pictures and I thought if the sun ever came out in this part of the country, I'd love to try taking a silhouette picture. Well, Friday afternoon we were out picking pears and sure enough, the sun came out. So the whole family stopped and we tried our hand at silhouettes. :)
This is probably my favorite! It's hard to believe it was a bright sunny afternoon, looking at these pictures.
Keith took this one of Owen....also one of my favorites.
Kristyn had her hair in pig tails so her head shape is a bit strange, but this is one of my favorites, too. Well, I guess they are all my favorite! :)

Question of the Day......
A lady said to me this morning, "Wow! Do you run a day care?"
"Nope", I replied, "they're ALL mine!" (HUGE smile)
"Oh wow!"
Now tell me, how could you think I run a daycare after seeing these precious, little ankle-biters....er, I mean darlings????
Yep, they're all mine and I'm proud of it!!! ;) (in a good way, of course)

Invitations, MeatWoaf and Pictures.....
This picture is so precious to me. It makes me feel guilty, ashamed, thoughtful......determined!
It was yesterday. Kristyn was playing outside in the back yard and when I went to see what she was doing, she wasn't in her playhouse. She wasn't on the swing set, or in the garden. I looked down towards the church and she was sitting down there with another girl. I went down to them and talked to them for a while. The girls name was Elizabeth. She was waiting for a ride. I asked if she was okay and she said she was fine.
So I told Kristyn we needed to go that supper was on the table. We started walking back up to the house and I thought she was right behind me, but when I got up to the house, I turned around and she was back down there.
I went back down and this is what Kristyn was saying, "...we love having new people come. We'd like for you to come and you could sit with us." After a little while, we both walked back up to the house and Elizabeth's ride was coming. I asked Kristyn why she went back down there after I told her to come home. She started crying (which isn't uncommon) and said, she was just thinking that she hadn't invited Elizabeth to church, so she went back down to invite her to church and Kids Club.
As we were walking away, she turned and said, "Elizabeth, I'll pray for you." This had made me think so much. Why am I so ashamed to invite people to church? Am I ashamed of Jesus? Am I worried they will think I'm weird? Am I so afraid that they will say, "No?" Will they miss Heaven, just because I was too busy, or didn't care enough to invite them to church, or tell them about Jesus....OR tell them, "I'll be praying for you?"
I am determined to do better!
P.S. We've had in the past the "talk" about strangers and all of that, so I tried to kindly remind her of that little conversation.

Owen told me today that I was "The most Pwecious, MeatWoaf Making-Mommy in the whole wide world." He loves meat loaf. :)

I took some pictures for a friend the other day. Here are some of my favorites.

So go out and invite someone to church, or just tell them you will be praying for them. :)

Going to Grandma's...
Owen hitched a ride with Uncle Quentin Monday and went to Grandma's house....clear in Oklahoma, all by himself. As you can tell, he was quite excited about this little adventure.
Thanks for the shirt, Mary Ellen. :) It says, "That's it, I'm going to Grandmas!"
Uncle Quentin said that twice on the trip down there, Owen said, "If you're tired, you can go ahead and take a nap and I'll drive." Glad he didn't take Owen up on that offer.
Here are some other pictures from around our house. Our yard is wrapping things up for Fall. :(

These are some of the last peppers I got. I didn't really need them right now, so I froze them. Great for pizza topping.
Our growing little guy.
My flowers....:( ......I'll have lots of seeds for next year.
This picture is for Aunt Mandy. It's kind of blurry, but Megan LOVES peppers. She goes to the garden and picks them and eats them like an apple...even the really hot ones. :) Aren't you proud of her!?!
Picking our last peppers.....and wild onions. :)
This is a hornet's nest we found. Kristyn wanted to take it for show and tell this week.....NOT!!!! There were still hornets coming and going. We just did a drive-by-viewing.
Owen came to me the other day when I was paying bills and said he was an Indian. He got the sticker things from between the stamps and I had given him the big sticker and then he snatched an address label. :) I don't know how he's going to chase any cowboys with those blinders on.
Thanks for dropping by!
