A BLESSED week in review

We were very blessed last week!  I'm sharing some of those blessings with you.

A friend sent two boxes - one of the boys and one for the girls!!  One of the kids asked, "How did they know I needed these? (Jeans) :)  I told them that maybe Jesus told that person.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for your kindness!!

Then my brother and his family came for a family reunion, but stayed with us over the weekend and we got to be with them when they were here - what a blessing family is!

Checking out piglets.

Kittens!

Then, our uncle shared his corn with us and we spent HOURS putting up corn - 120 pints to be exact!

The MR. & MRS! :)

And then, we had a note in our seat on Sunday saying that plans had been made for Thursday night that involved us. No name, or details were given.
Thursday night came and in came our friends, Eric and Heather with Pizza, Doritos and Pepsi for the kids - and Elise to babysit them and they said we were to go with them.
So off we go to Red Lobster!!  We had a very enjoyable evening with them.

THANK YOU, ERIC AND HEATHER!!!!!!!  That was so thoughtful of you!

Lastly, two weeks has come and gone and it was back to the Orthopedic for Kristyn's arm.  She had asked us to have special prayer the night before that her cast could come off.

Just got the news - "It's coming OFF!!!"

Waiting to see the Dr. before heading home again.

One happy girl!!!

So that has been our week!

Have you been blessed this week?  I'd love to hear about it. :)

A Week to Remember

This has been quite a week and it's not even to the weekend yet.....whew!

To start it off, Owen pulled his first top tooth!  He was quite proud of himself.

And we're all happy for him - it's truly a family celebration when a tooth comes out and mom and dad are celebrating because we haven't had to pull a tooth, yet.  So far, Kristyn and Owen have pulled them by themselves!!!

Good job, Owen!
We've had a lot of visitors to our garden this week.  One day Jeren came running in shouting, "Mama, there's a rabbit in our salad!"

The squirrels have been fattening up on our tomatoes - their number decreases almost daily, thanks to BB's. :)

Then there's the birds - which we all love to watch - that come to our flowers along the garden.
On the left, hanging up-side-down is a woodpecker (I think) and to the right with it's head stuck in a sunflower is a golden finch.

Can you get any cuter?

Then we've had a little "falling out of the fort" incident that resulted in this....(No, she has not been smiling like this the whole time - most of the time, it's tears)

I found an older uniform shirt this morning that had a hole in the sleeve, so I cut it off to fit over her cast.

Did you notice she also pulled one of her teeth this week?.....if you have any extra change laying around and want to donate it to the tooth fairy, there is one that is frequenting our house - we'd be happy to give it to her on her next stop - HA!!!

Kristyn wanted me to write something on her cast and since she was melting in tears wondering how she would ever be able to function for the next few weeks with this thing, I decided to write some Bible verses that might help her along. :)

So now, we're looking to coast through the weekend with nothing but fun and relaxation - we'll see what happens, but it's a nice thought anyway!

Have a great weekend, Friends!

Recap...

My blog tells me, it's been a LONG time since I've posted. Has it really been that long?

Here's a recap of what's been going on....

First of all, both mom and dad's came for a visit and while they were here, they (the dad's) helped Keith build our chicken coop. (the mom's and girls went thrifting)

Then we had this little lady dedicated....

Bored brother during the service....

She REALLY needed dedicating (she has a little attitude problem - it's being worked on as we speak and she's getting better).....
Both dad's got to do the dedication which made it even more special....

Then Misty and Wesley stopped by and Wesley helped Keith finish up the chicken coop - in the rain....

Then we had graduation at school - handsome hubby with his good friend Chad.....

Then we had Awards night.  Owen got the highest GPA of the entire school - proud mama....

Kristyn got second highest - proud mama....  :)

Then Grandma and Papa came up for another visit and they worked on the suburban.....

Grandma played ball with Owen...... (and we did lots of other fun things)

Then there was Mother's Day a very special day....

Then Jeren had a little accident with a log (a very small log he was standing on rolled and it happened to roll his feet out from under him, resulting in his head meeting up with a thumb-size stick growing out of the ground)

Eight stitches later.....

He's a happy clam and licked his ice cream bowl clean....

So all of that, plus a 10 day camp, plus a family reunion, that's about the extent of what's been going on. :)

How has your summer been?

P.S. Garden pictures coming soon!!!!
