I took this picture of my lovely sister-in-law, Mandy, just two days before my handsome nephew arrived.  I love this Bible verse and it amazes me that God would take time to love and care about someone like me.

St. Louis Children's Museum

We decided to have a family day and visit the St. Louis Children's Museum, aka The Magic House.  We had never been there before, but it is a wonderful place that we all thoroughly enjoyed!

The Museum was divided into sections of all kinds, for all ages.

This was the "Recycle/Earth Friendly" section! 

  It encouraged you to shop at Farmer's Markets to get your produce.

I think Kristyn was the farmer...she was weighing Megan produce.

In one of the hallways there was an alphabet shelf.  

Inside each letter was something that started with that letter

This was a massive mosaic.  It was beautiful and so full of detail.  

I don't know if you can see the birds, or not in the tree.

This was the "house" under construction.

Each child could get a hard hat and an orange vest to work in.  All the pipes were in  a tote that 

the kids could get out and fit together to the sink and shower and see how they work.

Another section was History and how our country operates.

Keith was explaining to the kids what a courtroom is.

There were robes for the kids to put on to be the "judge". Also a 

jury section and seats for other guest that wanted to attend the court.

The judge desk had a microphone and the girl at the

desk was making good use of that microphone, so we didn't stay long in here.

In the Oval Office!

There were many interesting facts about each president and about our country in this room.

Agriculture

 Jeren enjoying the soy bean wall.  Each leaf lifted to show what a soybean was used for. 

(this wall was taller than Keith and about seven feet wide.)

I had no idea there were so many uses for soybeans. 

There was a Bean Stock that the kids could climb on.

 The amazing thing is, this bean stock is 3 stories high!!!!!  

Kristyn and Owen went clear to the top and back down.

Kristyn said Owen was scared.  

Owen said, "I wasn't scared.  I was shaking because

I wanted to."  :)

as the kids climb)

Grow a Garden!

The kids loved this little house with gardens all around it.

Soil types, seeds, garden plans, sun/shade plants...you name it!

Home again, home again!

There is so much fun packed into this place!  There are more sections for older kids, too.

So if you are ever passing through St. Louis and need a place to get some energy out, this would

be a perfect spot.  There are also some great coupons online that you can print out -that always helps. :)
