Kristyn turns **8**

I had visions of a beautiful post about my lovely daughter, but my brain has left the station, so I'm just going to leave it at this so the grandma's can at least see her on her birthday. :)

It's hard to believe that our first little lady is EIGHT years old!  She turned eight on the 14th and we had the day all planned!

She wanted to have French Toast for breakfast then go to the creek for the rest of the day and come home for supper and then have cake and home made ice cream. :)

Shortly before we left for the creek, Megan, who had just learned to ride without training wheels, had a little mishap with the bike and needed to be stitched.  So Keith took her to Urgent Care and Elise and I took the rest of the kids to the creek.

It was a beautiful day!!

No, that is not a snake in the water right there by Jeren (above)

Mrs. Jackson bought this and the kids have had SO much fun with it - "THANK YOU, Jackon!!" (that's what Jeren calls her)

Elise decided the water was too tempting and dove right in and played with the older kids. :)

Keith and Megan joined us after she received her one stitch and she was very certain that she couldn't get wet, so she entertained herself by coloring rocks. :)

Then we came home and got cleaned up and made Kristyn's cake which was a family effort - we all pitched in. :)

We invited some of our church family to help us eat the cake and ice cream.

Kristyn was so excited that she got a mountain bike from all her grandparents and mommy and daddy.  That's all she wanted for her birthday. :)

She had a good day and Megan is healing nicely.

So glad Kristyn had a Happy Birthday. Grandma Della, however, was sad that she couldn't be there! Looks like a fun day, and a fun cake. I couldn't quite envision it when Kristyn was describing it to me. That was a neat idea!

Love you all,
Momma D
